"I am big on communication, and believe in emotionally connecting to patients by listening to their problems with composure. Through this, I’m able to better understand their suffering, past experiences, & requirements from the surgery I am about to perform for them."

“As a fourth generation doctor, choosing this profession felt like my natural calling.
Being married to a fellow orthopaedic surgeon is truly a blessing; Not only do I go home from work with my wife, I also frequently bump into her at the hospital. Talk about work-life balance!
I am big on communication, and believe in emotionally connecting to patients by listening to their problems with composure. Through this, I’m able to better understand their suffering, past experiences, & requirements from the surgery I am about to perform for them.
It is delightful to see that people now are more aware than ever- they thoroughly research their symptoms & even google us doctors before deciding to avail our treatment. Social media has bridged a huge gap by enabling virtual consultations and direct communication with our patients, who now send in their reports and test results via text. This past decade’s technological boom has done wonders for medicine, especially amidst the current global situation. Through tech-advancements, we are able to provide better healthcare & speedy recoveries with minimal pain to our patients.
The pandemic has undoubtedly shaken all of our careers, in some way or the other. Despite the challenges that today’s times bring, the fact that I can make a difference in my patient’s lives keeps me motivated. I aspire to be an internationally-trained Trauma Surgeon, specialising in foot and ankle surgeries, so that one day, no one in India will be left out from accessing the best-possible healthcare.”
